cynthia orizaba

Co-Founder & President

Cynthia is a current senior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she is pursuing a B.A. in Political Science with a concentration in Public Policy and Democratic Institutions and a minor in Business. Prior to joining the UIUC community, Cynthia transferred from New York University due to financial reasons. She has previously interned with the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Congressional Office of Senator Richard J. Durbin (D-IL), and the Mexican Ministry of Economy’s Office of Trade and NAFTA.

Cynthia is passionate about addressing economic and political inequalities in Latinx communities across the United States. Her career interests lie in international affairs, politics, law, international trade, and development. An avid community servant, Cynthia spent her free time passing out lunches to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A fun fact about Cynthia: she has studied abroad in Santiago, Chile at the Universidad de los Andes.

spencer asch

Co-Founder & Senior Vice-President of Professional Development

Spencer is a senior at New York University’s Stern School of Business, pursuing a B.Sc. in Business and Political Economy with minors in Public Policy and Communications. Spencer has had internship experience working with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Office of the Investor Advocate, BlackRock’s Legal & Compliance Division, NYU’s Office of Marketing and Communications, and NYU Washington, D.C.’s Global Research Initiative.

Passionate about professional development and career opportunities, Spencer has devoted his time to expanding his knowledge of educational and career opportunities for students with diverse backgrounds.

A fun fact about Spencer: he’s studied in London, Shanghai, Washington, D.C., and Santiago, Chile.

Diana Abraham

Vice President of Post-Graduate Opportunities, Pre-Health Advising

Diana is a current senior at New York University where she is pursuing a B.A. in Biology on the pre-medical track. She has previously conducted research at New York University’s College of Dentistry and Harvard Medical School.

Diana hopes to become a bridge between research and medicine. Diana plans to utilize her research to design affordable and accessible medical treatments that will serve underprivileged patient populations. 

With her research and leadership experiences at NYU, Diana has cultivated a unique passion for endowing others with tools and tips to achieve their academic, career, and personal goals. Along with her goal to become a physician with a dedication to scientific inquiry and investigation, she plans to become a mentor and resource for other students in the Latinx community.
